THE STRUCTURE

 

3 days of topic specific dressage training for you and your horse with Nationally recognized Dressage trainers Sarah and Clayton Martin. Lecture/ Demonstrations and 3 to a group lessons followed by private sessions. Limited to 6 riders per forum to allow high quality instructor /student ratio. Topic specific rather than level specific so that riders of all levels can watch and learn techniques for where they have been, where they are, and where they are going.

 

THE TOPICS

 

JUNE 29, 30 and JULY 1: Develop Your Seat and Improve Your Timing

No matter what level you ride you can always sit better and learn more about the precise timing of your aids.

 

JULY 6, 7, 8: Developing Collection

Every horse can collect in varying degrees. Use basic lateral work to improve your connection, develop uphill balance and further your understanding of Collection.

 

JULY 17, 18, 19: Long Lining

Learn how to use this wonderful technique for developing Collection and improving communication with your horse. Open to any level.

 

JULY 20, 21, 22: Flying Changes

This facet of Dressage extends over years of training, but there are basic concepts and stages that enable a smoother progression; from introducing the change, to finishing the balance for more expression, to tempi changes.

 

JULY 31, August 1,2,3 Pilates for Dressage Intensive

with Janice Dulak and Sarah Martin. 9 participants.
